1. Weather radar system, subsystems, and design trade-offs
2. Acquisition process of weather data
3. Statistical properties of weather signals
4. Implement basic processing techniques
5. Procedure of radar data quality control
授課內容
This course provides an introduction to radar design trade-offs, antennas, transmitters, and coherent receivers. Analysis of radar signals as noise-corrupted stochastic processes, with emphasis on digital signal processing for Doppler spectrum and moment estimation. Applications of weather radars will also be introduced and discussed. Students will have opportunities to practice how to conduct radar data quality.
